N'gombe
The N'gombe Community is a sprawling compound in Lusaka with over 50,000 people. Since the fall of 2001, First Parish Unitarian Universalist Church in Lexington, Massachusetts has been providing financial aid to support the education of approximately 25 OVC children. The children attend one of three schools: Ng'ombe Basic School; Roma Primary School for Girls; and N'gombe Private School. Support has also been provided for income generating activities which have included the purchase of sewing machines in order for the women of the community to make and sell school uniforms.
